About me
My name is Jason Le and I’m a UX designer. I am passionate about improving the lives of others through intuitive and user centred-design. I use the design process with everything I do and have even shared my experiences with young students across Australia through hands-on workshops. I am looking at ways to be a better and more inclusive designer.
I studied Industrial design where I learnt to prototype and build visually stunning and functional products. I took these design skills and processes to Questacon, Australia’s National Science and Technology Centre where I designed and managed exhibitions and design-based workshops visitors of the centre and students across the country.
In 2022, I moved to the UK looking for new and different ways of approaching design. I have shared my skills with scientists at Queen Mary University of London to create the best method of engagement for their research. I really enjoy working in teams and learning from others as great design comes from collaboration.
Personally, I am an avid fan of motorsport and love keeping up to date with the latest technologies utilised in the sport (especially F1). I love all types of sports and often play Aussie Rules Football (AFL), and in my spare time, I love reading about the latest technologies and engineering advances in aerospace and aviation science.
Work Experience
2023
Queen Mary University of London - Programme Designer
I currently design and deliver a programme supporting a long term scientific study looking at children's health and air pollution and the affects it has on their development. My role includes working with scientists and looking through data to develop the best method of engagement for students, teachers and the public.
2021 - 2022
Questacon - Researcher and Designer
I researched complex science concepts and developed exhibits for Questacon. This involved researching through interviews, creating affinity maps , building prototypes, writing content and user testing.
2021
Adiona - UX Designer
I researched how the program worked, keeping an eye on the user flow and making sure the redevelopment had a simple and easy to use user interface and flow. I developed many prototypes and tested with real users to help inform the final design.
2019 - 2021
Questacon - Programmes Service Designer
Through user research, I designed, managed and coordinated a STEM based program for high school students across Australia. The program used physical prototyping as the vehicle for the design process.
